AT Hiker: Guthook's Guide is a 9-part smartphone guide for your hike on the Appalachian Trail. This hiking guide was introduced on the iPhone platform earlier in 2013 and is now available for Android. The AT Hiker 4 app covers the 295 mile portion of the AT from Mile 722.5 (US Highway 220 near Daleville, Virginia) to Mile 1017.3 (Potomac River crossing on the West Virginia-Maryland border).

AT Hiker use a combination of your phone's GPS, downloaded topo maps, and the Google Maps interface to accurately locate your position on the trail. No phone service? Not a problem -- your phone's GPS pinpoints your location on top of topo maps downloaded as part of the app.

A bright red line indicates the location of the Appalachian Trail. An elevation profile of the AT is displayed in the Profile tab of the app. It shows you the elevation of the trail plotted against distance along with your current location on the trail.

Over 180 waypoints along this portion of the Appalachian Trail are displayed both on the map and in the "Guide" tab of the app. A Trail Register allows you to post comments about any waypoint and view other hikers' comments. This feature can be helpful, for instance, to obtain information about upcoming water sources.

The types of waypoints in the AT Hiker series include:

There are also markers on the map every mile of the trail track.

Clicking on a waypoint on the Map or in the Guide or in the Profile opens a detail page for the waypoint, providing further details about that particular waypoint. Details include the waypoint's mileage point and elevation, a Trail Register where you may post comments and read other users' comments, and other details that will help you during your hike, and help you plan your hike. The smaller number of waypoints and waypoint photos compared to other AT Hiker apps is reflected in the price.

About the Appalachian Trail: The Appalachian Trail, or AT, is one of the United States' most treasured national trails. The 2,181-mile trail stretches from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine. Along the way it passes through 14 states, including Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Much of the Long Trail overlaps the AT through the State of Vermont. Many hikers complete the entire trail in one season ("thru-hikers"), and countless others enjoy hiking anywhere from a few miles to hundreds of miles each year.

Described as a surreal romance, the story sounds Gondry up the alley, as it follows a young man who is trying to save his wife caused by a horrible and strange disease that grows through a water lily in the lungs. - In addition, the film has already installed some great talents including Audry Tatou , Romain Duris and Jamel Debbouze The story was heartbreaking as a mean?. Poignant modern love story ever written and also a fantasy doom purity is an acknowledgment of youth and innocence. Sounds like and conduct, but to know that the kind of quirky and at the same time touching and heartbreaking romance with Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind comes, I can not wait to see how this turns out.
